Young Worker Leadership Academy Projects
"We learned how to be responsible about our own rights and who to reach out to in case of any accident. How to provide solutions to problems. Yes, it changed our ideas. It's a real learning experience to every one of all ages."
–Youth Team Member

In exchange for a spot in the Young Worker Leadership Academy (YWLA), the participating youth teams commit to planning and leading team projects back in their schools and communities. Each team presents their projects during Safe Jobs for Youth Month in May each year. Their efforts are estimated to reach over two thousand youth and several hundred adults.
Below you'll find summaries of YWLA team projects organized over the past three years. Sample projects include team-lead workshops, job fairs, conferences, and creative publicity or media materials.
The Young Workers Project has also chosen to showcase some student-produced public service announcements (PSAs) as an example of the highly creative work demonstrated by YWLA participants.
