Young Worker Leadership Academy
WOSHTEP works in conjunction with the Young Workers Project to organize the annual Young Worker Leadership Academy. This program educates youth entering the workforce about the importance of health and safety on the job. It also informs them of their workplace rights and responsibilities and prepares them to take an active role as health and safety leaders at work and in their communities.
Academy sessions are held in northern and southern California each year and involve teams of youth and mentors from throughout the state of California. Read more about the Young Worker Leadership Academy and the annual projects of Academy teams.
