• Reduce job-related injuries and illnesses among California workers.
• Promote health and safety on the job to help lower workers' compensation costs for employers.
• Prepare workers and worker advocates to take a leadership role in promoting health and safety in workplaces.
• Serve groups in high hazard industries.
• Serve groups with special needs such as workers and employers with limited English skills, limited literacy, small businesses, young people just entering the workforce, and those in traditionally underserved industries or occupations.
