Participate in Workers' Memorial Day, Commemorated Annually in late April

Each year we observe Workers' Memorial Day in order to remember the workers who suffered injuries, became ill or were killed on the job, as well as to promote legislative action, stronger enforcement of existing health and safety laws, and rededicate ourselves to the effort to create safer & healthier workplaces for all workers.

Another goal for Workers' Memorial Day is to raise public awareness around the critical health and safety hazards that workers face in their workplaces, especially in high-risk industries. We believe that everyone should know about the unacceptable incidence of work-related fatalities, many of which are preventable. By raising awareness around the causes and effects of workplace injuries, illnesses and fatalities we hope to galvanize more support for our ongoing struggle to promote safer and healthier working conditions for all workers.
