Ingrid
Zubieta is the LOSH Industrial Hygienist primarily
assigned to the Hazardous Waste Worker Training and
Ports Projects.
She provides technical assistance to LOSH staff, consultant
instructors, and members of the Western Region Universities
Consortium in all aspects of program development assuring
the relevance and technical accuracy of all LOSH course
content. Additionally, she maintains the technical and
regulatory library, updates lab and field equipment
as needed, and teaches IH principles, hazard identification
and control for all LOSH projects.
A native of Colombia, Ms. Zubieta received a BS degree
in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad de America
in Bogotá in 1998, and a Master of Public Health
degree from the University of California, Berkeley in
2004. During the summer of 2004 she worked as an Occupational
Health intern with the California Department of Health
Services. Before joining LOSH in December 2005, she
was employed since 2001 with the Lawrence Berkeley National
Laboratory as a Research Associate both as a student
and since receiving her MPH.
