 Laurie Kane
Kominski is the Associate Director of Program Administration. Since earning a Master’s degree in
Social Work with a specialization in Education from the University of Pennsylvania,
she has gained 20 years experience in non-profit program development and management.
In that regard, her primary focus has been on the development, implementation, and
management, both at a national monitoring and local implementation level, of federally
and privately funded training and placement programs, including School-to-Work. These
programs have served youth and adults with disabilities and other disadvantaged populations
facing significant barriers to employment.
Ms. Kominski is a member and has made presentations on behalf
of several groups concerned with the health and safety of
young workers, including the American Public Health Association
and its National Young Worker Network, the California Partnership
for Young Workers’ Health and Safety, and the Southern
California Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health.
