Deogracia
Cornelio is the LOSH Associate Director of Education
responsible for curriculum development, training and
program evaluation. A native Spanish speaker from the
Dominican Republic, Ms. Cornelio holds a Master of Arts
degree in Latin American Studies from the University
of Florida. There she concentrated in anthropology and
gender issues and received training in participatory
research. In 2005, Ms. Cornelio relocated to the Los
Angeles area from Michigan where she was employed by
the University of Michigan as a Research Associate in
both the Department of Family Medicine and the Gerald
Ford School of Public Policy. She has had extensive
experience as a health educator/interviewer; counselor;
adult trainer; project coordinator and researcher and
is passionate about social justice issues.
