Fact Sheets - Fatality Assessment
The following is a list of FACE fact sheets provided by the California Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation (CA/FACE) program. These fact sheets provide one-page fatality incident summaries with prevention recommendations. They can be easily printed and posted at the worksite.
FACE is part of the Occupational Health Branch within the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). The purpose of the FACE program is to identify conditions that lead to fatal injuries at work. By studying these conditions, the program can develop more effective ways for employers and employees to prevent fatal injuries in the future. The CA/FACE program tracks and investigates fatalities in Los Angeles County. You will find additional Publications and Reports on the FACE website.
LOSH is collaborating with the DPH to disseminate these fact sheets to Southern California workers in high risk jobs or occupations. On average, approximately one worker dies every three days in LA County.
