Special Projects

UCLA-LOSH contributes to the workplace health and safety field through an extensive array of education and training programs, publications, and community-based research that promote worker health and safety, particularly among those most at risk – young workers and new immigrants who work around hazardous materials.

LOSH's current initiatives include the three major projects featured on this site: HAZWOPER, WOSHTEP, and the Young Workers Project.

In addition, LOSH is supported by a number of smaller grants and contracts from Federal and State Agencies, University initiatives, foundations, and through labor-management fee-for-service agreements. Finally, LOSH can also respond to a limited number of requests for assistance on worker health and safety training that do not fit specifically under these funded projects. Please call our main number to make such requests.
