Community groups and concerned residents from the L.A. area
will meet to discuss environmental issues that affect our
health. There will be community presentations, an open microphone,
and a chance to discuss research needs and issues with scientists,
regulators, health officials, and legislators. Workshops will
address environmental justice, children's health, air pollution,
school environments, healthy homes, youth and worker concerns,
public participation in environmental health decisions, and
more...
Dr. Kenneth Olden, Director of the National Institute of Environmental
Health Sciences (NIEHS), who supports community-based research
on environmental justice and on health disparities, will be
a featured speaker - and will listen to your concerns.
